Description
An antique British style percussion musket or rifle, dating to the early to mid-19th century. This long gun features a full-length dark hardwood stock and a heavy blued or patinated steel barrel. The visible lock mechanism is of the percussion cap type. Metal components, including the lock plate, hammer, and trigger, show considerable wear, surface pitting, and dark patination. The trigger guard and ramrod tip appear to be brass. For Display Use
