Description
A wooden highboy, or chest-on-stand, featuring a distinctive burl wood veneer, likely walnut, prominently displayed across the drawer fronts and side panels. The upper section comprises five stacked drawers of uniform size, while the lower section consists of a single, wider drawer. All drawers are equipped with ornate brass bail pull handles and decorative backplates. The piece is supported by four cabriole legs terminating in pad feet, characteristic of the Queen Anne or early Georgian style. No visible text or manufacturer’s markings are apparent.
