Description
A matched set comprising a mahogany bow-front pedestal desk and an armchair, in the Georgian/Regency style. The desk features a richly veneered top exhibiting a prominent burl or flame grain pattern, bordered by contrasting banding, and is fitted with a central drawer and two pedestals each containing three drawers, all with circular brass pull handles and escutcheons. The armchair complements the desk with a carved crest rail displaying classical motifs such as an urn and swags, reeded uprights, scrolled arms, and saber-style legs, and is upholstered in a golden-yellow velvet-like fabric secured with visible studding.
