Description
A large, rectangular wall mirror, featuring a highly ornate gilded frame. The frame is decorated with elaborate scrolling foliate and shell motifs, particularly prominent at the pediment where a central cartouche-like ornament is flanked by further decorative elements. The gilded finish appears to be either giltwood or gesso and gilt, with a molded and beaded inner border surrounding the clear glass mirror plate. No visible text, maker’s marks, or other distinguishing inscriptions are discernible.
