Description
A low, two-drawer commode or small chest of drawers, crafted from wood, likely veneered, with a dark finish. The piece features a gently bowed or serpentine front, housing two drawers with a distinctive figured wood grain, possibly burl veneer. Each drawer is adorned with decorative metal bail pull hardware, comprising an ornate escutcheon and a teardrop pull, indicative of a Rococo or Neoclassical revival style. It rests on short, splayed legs. Please note, the modern ‘TOSHIBA’ television placed on its surface is not included in this lot.
