Description
An English Chippendale style carved burr walnut sideboard, featuring a serpentine-fronted form. The piece is crafted from wood with a burr walnut veneer on its top and cabinet doors. It comprises a central section with three drawers, flanked by two cabinet doors, all fitted with ornate brass drop-pull hardware and escutcheons. The sideboard stands on cabriole legs, the front ones elaborately carved with acanthus or shell motifs and terminating in pad feet. A scalloped apron is present beneath the central drawers, and a low, carved gallery adorns the back of the top surface. 150 x 55 x 80cm
