Description
A Queen Anne Burr Walnut Dressing Table, Mirror and Chair, circa 1920. The ensemble consists of a dark hardwood dressing table, a matching freestanding swing mirror, and a coordinating chair. The dressing table features a bowed front with five drawers, each fitted with brass drop pull handles and escutcheons, supported by cabriole legs with carved knees and pad feet. The swing mirror, resting on the table, has a rectangular plate within a frame, topped with finials and a turned spindle stretcher. The accompanying chair exhibits a shaped back, an upholstered drop-in seat in a light woven fabric, and front cabriole legs consistent with the table. This suite displays characteristics of a Georgian or Queen Anne revival style.
