Luton Hoo - Bedrooms
Lot 1570:
Description
This lot comprises two framed architectural engravings. The first depicts a detailed Neoclassical interior architectural elevation or decorative scheme, with faint text at the bottom partially visible as «Orig. 8.ft. to the Hall of…». The second item is an engraved architectural landscape print titled «LUTON HOO. SOUTH EAST VIEW. BEDFORDSHIRE.», illustrating a grand country estate. This print is explicitly dated «1831» and credits «J. P. Neale» as the artist and «T. Higham» as the engraver, published by «Jones & C. Temple of the Muses, Finsbury Square, London.» Both prints are displayed under glass with white matting within identical gilded wooden frames, each featuring a beaded inner edge and a broader, textured outer profile.
