Description
A square mahogany games table with a central pedestal base and a cruciform foot. The table features a smooth top. Accompanying the table are two side chairs of complementary Baroque or Rococo revival style. Each chair is constructed with a carved dark wood frame, featuring shapely cabriole-like front legs, ornate carved stretchers, and prominent metal nailhead trim securing the upholstery. One chair is upholstered in a plain olive green textured fabric, while the second chair features a vibrant patterned fabric with gold, red, and purple paisley or damask motifs.
Condition report:
The table exhibits visible surface wear, scratches, and lighter spots on the top. The cruciform base shows scuffs and minor chips consistent with age and use. The upholstery on the olive green chair shows notable fading, soiling, and wear. The upholstery on the patterned chair is in comparatively better condition but still shows signs of general use. The carved wood frames of both chairs show minor wear commensurate with age.
