Description
An American Empire mahogany pedestal table, featuring a rectangular top crafted from a dark, reddish-brown hardwood. The table is supported by a central pedestal base with four splayed, fluted legs. Accompanied by two Louis XV or Rococo Revival style side chairs, each with carved wooden frames, cabriole legs, and scrolled feet. One chair is upholstered in a multi-colored paisley-like brocade with gold, red, and green tones, while the other is upholstered in a solid olive-green textured fabric. Both chairs are finished with decorative nailhead trim.
Condition report:
The table exhibits significant surface wear, including scratches, scuffs, and discoloration on the tabletop. The chairs\' wooden frames appear generally sound with minor wear consistent with age and use. The upholstery on both chairs appears intact, though the fabrics are mismatched.
