Description
A large framed oil painting, executed in a detailed, naturalistic still life style. The composition features a dense, abundant arrangement of various vibrant flowers, fruits such as apples and berries, and insects, including a prominent dragonfly, within a vase or vessel set on a dark ledge against an equally dark background. The painting is housed in a substantial, ornate, possibly gilded, carved wooden frame. A small white label, partially visible at the bottom left of the frame, reads «Galleries, Lot 383.»
Condition report:
Good apparent condition. Colors appear rich and the surface seems stable. Minor age-related wear and craquelure are present, consistent with the painting\'s age. Further definitive assessment of condition or restoration would require in-hand inspection.
