Description
A French Regency style writing table, dating to the 19th century. Constructed from dark-stained wood, likely mahogany, it features a rectangular top currently protected by a fitted clear glass panel. The table is supported by two robust, carved trestle-style pedestals with scrolling feet, which are joined by a turned stretcher. The apron beneath the top houses two drawers, each fitted with a brass drop handle. Carved scrollwork details are visible on the upper sections of the trestle supports. The item exhibits a polished finish.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. The finish is polished with minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The fitted clear glass panel is a later addition. No significant damage or repairs are immediately apparent.
