Description
A collection of die-cast metal horse-drawn vehicles from the Models of Days Gone series produced by Lledo (London) Ltd. in England. Each model features a die-cast body with plastic wheels, detailing, and horse teams. The group comprises four distinct models housed in their original illustrated card and plastic window boxes.
The first model is a yellow horse-drawn omnibus or stagecoach with a red roof, featuring side panels printed with the text CHAPARRAL and WILD WESTERN CITY. It is accompanied by a team of two black horses. The white window box features red and black striping and carries a white adhesive retail label printed with £2.20.
The second model is a red horse-drawn fire appliance with gold-tone wheels and a gold-tone ladder. The side panels are printed with the word FIRE in gold-tone lettering. It is accompanied by a single cream-coloured horse.
The third model is a white horse-drawn steam fire engine featuring red wheels and a gold-tone pump mechanism. The side panels are printed with 2 HKFB in red. This model is accompanied by a four-horse team of black horses. The box features a distinct red header panel.
The fourth model is a black horse-drawn delivery van with gold-tone wheels. The side panels feature multi-coloured advertising for MASON’S PANTRY, Mrs Beeton’s, and FOODS OF CHARACTER. It is accompanied by two cream-coloured horses. The box carries a white adhesive retail label printed with £1.95.
