Description
This collection comprises vintage non-sport trading cards from the Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back series, published by Topps in 1980. The cards feature the distinctive red borders with white and grey piping characteristic of the original release. Included are cards from the Star File character subset, featuring Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Yoda, Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, See-Threepio, and Artoo-Deeto. The collection also contains several Space Paintings cards featuring concept artwork by Ralph McQuarrie, including titles such as Swamps of Dagobah, Darth Vader, and Cloud City. Two checklist cards for numbers 1 to 66 and 67 to 132 are present, displaying the Darth Vader helmet graphic on the reverse. Numerous narrative movie scene cards are included, such as Weapon of Light and Duel of the Lightsabers. The items are housed in clear plastic protective nine-pocket sleeves by Ultra PRO and the Platinum series.
