Description
A model railway breakdown crane set produced by Hornby Railways in OO gauge. The set is constructed primarily from red and black plastic with metal wheels, hook, and internal pulley mechanism. It represents a Cowans Sheldon 75 ton crane. The set consists of the main crane housing and jib, the primary wheeled chassis, a match truck jib support wagon, a further support wagon frame, and four black plastic L-shaped outrigger jacks. The crane features a manual geared winding mechanism to operate the pulley hook and jib elevation. The original red cardboard window box is included, featuring white polystyrene protective inserts. The box displays a diagonal yellow and black logo reading Hornby Railways and text on the side reading OO gauge scale models and R.739 – 3301. The crane jib is printed with white text reading TO LIFT 75 TONS, and the body bears the identification ADW 150.
