This lot comprises forty individually plastic-wrapped blocks or sheets of British commemorative stamps, issued in 1979 for «The Year of the Child.» The collection includes ten blocks of each of the four distinct designs: «The Tale of Peter Rabbit» (9p), «The Wind in the Willows» (10½p), «Winnie the Pooh» (11p), and «Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland» (13p). Each stamp design features a silhouette of Queen Elizabeth II in the upper left corner and is uniformly inscribed with «The Year of the Child» at the bottom.
