Lot 152:
Description
This hand-assembled decorative model represents a World War I-era Fokker Dr.I triplane. The construction consists of painted sheet metal with wire struts and cord rigging. The fuselage and three-wing configuration are finished in red paint with black and white cross insignias applied to the upper wing and fuselage, identifying it in the style of a German Imperial Air Service aircraft. The model features a stylized radial engine, a two-blade propeller, and spoked wheels on the landing gear. No manufacturer marks, registration numbers, or serial plates are present on the body.
Registration: None
Engine Hours: N/A (Decorative Model)
Equipment: Two-blade propeller, wire struts, cord rigging, spoked wheels
Survey Status: Visual inspection only.
Condition report:
The model is in fair to good decorative condition. It shows surface dust accumulation, minor paint loss, and light oxidation on the metal components consistent with age. The cord rigging is loose in several areas and exhibits significant fraying. A length of twine is currently wrapped around the wings and fuselage, likely for hanging purposes.
