Description
This collection consists of four comic books published by the Vertigo imprint of DC Comics. The group includes The Sandman Presents: The Dead Boy Detectives issue number 1 of 4, dated August 2001. This is the premiere issue of the limited series featuring characters from Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman, with cover art by Dave McKean bearing the printed signature DAVE McKEAN at the bottom right. The second item is Vertigo Visions: Phantom Stranger issue number 1, dated 1993, with cover art by Guy Davis. The third item is 100 Bullets issue number 46, dated September 2003, with cover art by Dave Johnson bearing the artist’s stylized JOHNSON mark on the right edge. The final item is a Vertigo Preview promotional one-shot from approximately 1992. Three of the comics are housed in protective plastic sleeves.
Condition report:
The comics are in ungraded condition. The Sandman Presents: The Dead Boy Detectives 1 is housed in a protective sleeve and shows sharp corners with no significant spine stress. Vertigo Visions: Phantom Stranger 1 is unbagged and exhibits a diagonal crease at the bottom right corner of the front cover, minor edge wear along the top margin, and light spine stress marks; the cover remains attached. 100 Bullets 46 is housed in a protective sleeve and shows sharp corners with no major defects visible through the plastic. The Vertigo Preview is housed in a protective sleeve and exhibits minor surface rippling and light creasing on the front cover.
