Description

This assortment features a Zenit-B 35mm single lens reflex camera, an export-market variant of the Zenit-E manufactured by the Krasnogorsk Mechanical Factory (KMZ) in the Soviet Union. The camera body is constructed from die-cast aluminum alloy with a black leatherette covering and is marked ZENIT-B on the front housing. The camera is currently fitted with a Soligor 35mm f/3.5 wide-angle lens, serial number 9714193. Included in the group is a loose Helios-44-2 58mm f/2 lens, serial number 79058694, which is marked USSR. Accessories include a black leather two-piece ever-ready camera case with a neck strap, featuring the Zenit brand name embossed in both Latin and Cyrillic characters on the top. The collection is housed in a larger canvas or synthetic equipment carrying bag with a shoulder strap and metal hardware.

Condition report:

The camera body is in fair vintage condition with visible surface dust and minor wear to the metal edges. The leatherette covering remains intact. The leather ever-ready case exhibits significant scuffing, wear, and heavy dust accumulation. The larger carrying bag shows signs of use and dust. Both lenses exhibit surface dust; no fungus or heavy scratching is noted from the exterior, though internal elements have not been inspected with a backlight. Mechanical operations and shutter functions have not been tested. The items are sold as is for display or refurbishment.
