Lot 350:
A vintage Musicmaker Solid State portable record player with teak veneer casing
Description
A vintage portable transistorised record player featuring a rectangular wooden base finished in a teak-effect veneer with black plastic trim. The unit is fitted with a smoky grey transparent plastic dust cover. The internal deck is constructed from black plastic and houses a cream-coloured circular platter and tone arm. An adhesive label at the top right of the deck features the printed name musicmaker in lowercase bold type, followed by the words SOLID STATE. The tone arm assembly includes a white rectangular logo bearing the lowercase letters mm in black. Controls are located on a cream-coloured panel at the upper right, consisting of two cream rotary knobs. The right-hand dial is a speed selector marked 45, off, and 33. The left-hand dial is unmarked, likely serving as a combined power and volume control. A series of vertical louvres to the left of the control panel indicates a built-in speaker.
