Description

A collection of four ceramic figurines including two identifiable English bone china pieces by Royal Doulton and a pair of glazed ceramic figures in 18th-century style. The first Royal Doulton figurine, titled Babie and numbered HN 1679, depicts a young girl in a yellow bodice and green skirt with red accents. Its base bears a printed black mark featuring a lion atop a crown over a circular cartouche inscribed ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND BONE CHINA. Further printed text below identifies the piece as Babie, H.N. 1679, COPR. 1935, and DOULTON & CO. LIMITED, accompanied by a small blue hand-painted character resembling an N or V. Yellow adhesive residue is present on the underside. The second Royal Doulton figurine, titled Catherine and numbered HN 3044, depicts a girl in a white dress decorated with small blue floral details. The base is marked with a printed lion and crown logo within a circle inscribed ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND BONE CHINA, surrounded by circular text reading hand made and hand decorated, with further text for Royal Doulton, HN 3044, and CATHERINE. It also includes the printed name Modelled by P. Parsons and a copyright notice for ROYAL DOULTON (UK) 1984, alongside a small blue hand-painted number 10. The remaining two figures form a pair in 18th-century style dress, with the male figure in a yellow frock coat and green breeches and the female figure in a matching gown. Both stand on naturalistic bases and bear no visible maker marks or identifying inscriptions on their undersides.
