Lot 426:
A Set of Four Dartington Crystal Pedestal Dessert Dishes in Original Boxes
Description
A set of four clear lead crystal dessert dishes manufactured in the United Kingdom by Dartington Crystal. The dishes are contemporary in design, featuring a broad, shallow circular bowl with a smooth, curved profile. Each bowl is supported by a short, thick cylindrical pedestal stem resting on a plain, flat circular foot. The crystal is undecorated, highlighting the clarity and polish of the material. The items are presented in two original retail boxes, each containing a pair of dishes secured by internal yellow cardboard inserts. The packaging features a repetitive geometric pattern of the letter D and includes a white rectangular panel on the front and top. This panel displays a large stylized gold-toned D logo, to the right of which is the printed text DARTINGTON over CRYSTAL. The same logo and text appear on the smaller side panels of the boxes.
