Description

A collection of ceramic commemorative vessels primarily celebrating British royal history. The group includes a cream-coloured stoneware beaker featuring a green transfer-printed design for the 1902 coronation of Edward VII; the text reads THE KING’S CORONATION DINNER PRESENTED BY HIS MAJESTY encircling a crowned ER VII cypher. A small porcelain teacup and matching saucer depict a colour portrait of Edward VIII within a Garter ribbon, flanked by floral emblems of the United Kingdom. A cobalt blue glazed mug features a gilt transfer-printed design for the 1977 Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, including a crown and the dates 1952-1977. Also present is a two-handled loving cup decorated with a central portrait of Queen Victoria in a dark circular cartouche, surrounded by blue scrolls listing names of prominent figures including GLADSTONE, DISRAELI, CHURCHILL, SALISBURY, and PEEL. A small white porcelain mug displays a colour portrait of a young Queen Elizabeth II framed by a floral wreath. A further white two-handled loving cup is decorated with a teal foliate pattern and a gold-toned rim. The beaker’s interior is finished in a light-coloured glaze. Base markings are not clearly visible in the provided views.
