Lot 467:
Description
A collection of cardstock playing cards including several patterned and illustrated decks, some housed in plastic cases and cardboard presentation packaging. The lot includes a double deck set contained within a clear plastic case and a gold-tone textured cardboard base and lid. The plastic lid is decorated with a gold-tone printed crest of the British Royal Coat of Arms, featuring a crowned lion and a unicorn supporting a central shield. A motto ribbon below the crest contains the legible characters DIEU ET MON and DROIT. Further printed text is present below the motto but is not legible. A single deck is contained in a clear plastic sleeve, showing a top card printed with a polychrome illustration of a man riding a bicycle, with the word FATHER printed vertically along the right-hand edge. A further pair of decks is held within a clear plastic case secured by a red rubber band; the back design features a detailed architectural interior scene showing vaulted ceilings and columns. Also included are two individual decks in plastic sleeves, one featuring a green and gold foliate scrollwork pattern and the second featuring a pink and white geometric circular design. A standalone, loose deck is included, the top card of which is printed with the four card suits: a red heart, a black club, a red diamond, and a black spade.
