Description
This lot comprises two natural wood walking sticks of folk art character. The first stick is crafted from blackthorn, featuring a characteristic heavily knobby shaft with a dark-stained finish. The handle end is finished with a red cap, and the stick terminates in a natural forked branch base. The second stick is constructed with a smooth wood shaft, exhibiting a polished light-tan finish. The handle is fitted with a black cylindrical cap and a corded wrist strap attached to the upper shaft by a small metal link chain and toggle. Like the first stick, this item terminates in a natural forked branch base. No maker’s marks, signatures, or hallmarks are visible on either item.
