Description
An ensemble comprising a Neoclassical style hardwood dressing table/desk and a matching side chair. The desk is crafted from a dark wood, likely mahogany or walnut, and appears to be veneered. It features a serpentine front, a central kneehole, and is flanked by pedestals, each containing three drawers. The desk top is fitted with a green leather or faux leather surface, detailed with gilt tooling. The drawers are equipped with brass bail handles. The accompanying side chair, also of dark hardwood, exhibits saber legs, curved back stiles, and a shaped top rail. A distinctive central splat is carved with a ribbon or bow motif. The chair features a woven cane seat.
