Description
A Zip and Link Double Bed, in the style of those found at Adare Manor, featuring a substantial dark polished wood headboard and a decorative fabric half-tester canopy. The prominent, arched dark polished wood headboard features carved scrollwork and a central foliate cartouche, flanked by ornate gilt or brass rosettes. These rosettes anchor a decorative fabric half-tester canopy, which comprises a heavily ruched pelmet with fringed trim. Draped fabric panels descend from the pelmet, displaying a floral or damask pattern in muted tones, suggesting a traditional or neoclassical-inspired style, possibly early 20th century or a later revival piece. The bed is presented with a contemporary upholstered divan base. The linens, bedspread, bedside tables, lamps, telephone, and mirror shown in the image are for display purposes only and are not included in the lot.
