Lot 1747:
Description
A group of four pieces of furniture. The first, a three-drawer chest crafted from dark-toned hardwood, likely mahogany, in a Federal or Adam style. It features brass ring pulls and fine stringing or inlay on its drawer fronts and top edge. The second item is a shield-back side chair, distinctly in the Hepplewhite style, with a pierced splat and a pink patterned upholstered seat. The third is a simple drop-leaf table of dark wood. The fourth is a lighter-toned, polished wood side table, possibly Rococo Revival or French Provincial in style, characterized by a shaped top, a lower shelf, and slender cabriole-style legs. No discernible text or maker’s marks are visible on any of the pieces.
