Description
An original black and white photographic print depicting the Salon de réception at the Petit Trianon, Versailles, France, dated 1889. The image captures the ornate interior of a French Rococo or Neoclassical Revival salon, furnished with a large crystal chandelier, giltwood furniture, and detailed architectural moldings. The print is presented within a wide white mat and a dark, possibly wood, frame with a subtle gilt inner edge. A label on the mat reads « Pro Auction Marketing Limited » and « LOT 182. »
Condition report:
Overall good apparent condition. Minor surface wear to the frame and mat. The photographic print appears well-preserved, with some reflective glare noted on the glazing.
