Description
An ornate four-light gilt metal wall sconce, likely cast bronze or brass, executed in a highly decorative Baroque or Rococo revival style. The design incorporates elaborate acanthus leaves, scrolling motifs, and ribbons. An upper central element resembles a crest or quiver. The sconce is fitted with modern candle-form electric bulbs, some bearing visible « CE » conformity markings.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. Exhibits an aged patina consistent with age and material. Wiring has been updated for modern electric bulbs. Minor surface wear commensurate with age and use.
