Description
A Victorian mahogany chiffonier, presented as a two-part sideboard or cabinet. The lower section features a two-door base cabinet with recessed panels. The upper hutch unit includes a central recessed panel, a small curved shelf, and an elaborate curvilinear cresting adorned with scrolled and carved elements. Constructed from a dark reddish-brown hardwood. No visible text or distinctive markings are discernible.
Condition report:
The item shows significant signs of age and use. The top surface of the lower cabinet exhibits widespread discoloration, water marks, and loss of finish. Other surfaces present general dullness and minor surface wear consistent with age.
