Description
An ornate giltwood or composition wall mirror in the Rococo Revival style. The rectangular mirror features an intricately carved and gilded frame, adorned with elaborate floral scrolls, acanthus leaves, and C-scroll motifs, characteristic of the Rococo Revival aesthetic. A white label affixed to the lower right corner of the mirror glass reads « Dot Auction LOT 294. »
Condition report:
Good overall condition. Minor surface wear, including light abrasions and small losses to the gilding, commensurate with age and use. No apparent structural damage to the frame. The mirror plate appears intact.
