An 18th-century architectural print by Jas. Paine, depicting the ‘Principal Story of the Earl of Bute’s House, at Luton Park in Bedfordshire’. The print is credited ‘Jas. Paine Inv. et Del. 1762’, indicating James Paine invented and delineated the design in that year. It features a detailed floor plan and includes a scale bar marked ‘Scale of 100 Feet’. The print is presented under glass with a white mat and housed in a substantial gilded wooden frame. An adhesive label on the frame’s lower right reads ‘Pre Auction’ and ‘LOT 3/4’.
