Description

A collection of six framed items, uniformly presented in simple gold-colored frames with white matting and glass glazing. The central, larger item is a monochromatic photograph depicting four men, one appearing to be mid-swing with a golf club, in an outdoor setting featuring trees; this photograph bears a « Pro Auction Limited LOT 627 » sticker. Surrounding this are five smaller framed paper documents, including various typewritten letters and « Local Rules » clearly detailing golf hole conditions such as « 1st Hole, » « Out of Bounds, » « hump, » and « pond. » Visible markings include a letter dated « 27 JUL 1939 » and « 24 JUL 1939 » from « A.W. GAMAGE LTD. EDINBURGH OFFICE, » a red circular seal, and a document with the letterhead « CLEGHORNE, PRESIDENT & CO., ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND, » indicating a mid-20th century period.
