Description
A dark-stained hardwood kneehole desk, likely mahogany, exhibiting a traditional Georgian or early Victorian-inspired style. It features a central recessed kneehole area with a single wide drawer above, flanked by two pedestals each containing three smaller drawers. All drawers are fitted with brass bail-handle pulls and escutcheons; the central drawer also appears to have a pull-out slide. The desk stands on four turned legs. No visible text, manufacturer’s marks, or other identifiable inscriptions are present.
Condition report:
The lacquered top surface exhibits significant damage, including a large, prominent area of lifted, cracked, and discolored finish or veneer. Numerous scratches and scuffs are present across the surface. The overall finish appears aged and worn.
