Lot 94:
Description
A Chinese Famille-Rose bottle vase, Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period. This large, glazed ceramic vase features a baluster-form body and a flared neck, resting on an off-white ground. It is covered by a prominent crackle glaze, over which extensive polychrome enamel decoration depicts a naturalistic array of insects, including butterflies, bees, snails, and beetles, meticulously interspersed with various botanical elements such as grapevines, flowers, and leaves.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. No apparent chips, cracks, or repairs. The crackle glaze is inherent to the design. No visible text or markings are discernible on its surface.
