Description
A pair of Chinese Baoding Balls, comprising two polished, spherical metal balls. They are housed within a small, hinged rectangular box. The box exterior is adorned with a dark, brocade-patterned fabric featuring gold and red/brown floral motifs, while the interior is lined with red satin-like material and secured by a simple metal clasp. A blue sticker affixed to the inside of the lid identifies the objects as « Authentic Chinese BALLS OF LIFE, » noting their purpose « FOR RELIEF OF STRESS, INSOMNIA AND ARTHRITIS, » and indicates their origin: « MADE IN GUANGZHOU CHINA. » The metal balls exhibit a highly reflective, possibly chrome-plated, surface.
