Description
A collection comprising approximately eight vintage photographic prints and/or postcards, predominantly featuring various British steam locomotives from the London, Midland and Scottish (LMS) Railway. Subjects include « LMS Express Passenger Locomotives » and a « LMS Mixed Traffic Locomotive, » with specific examples bearing numbers such as 4931, 4752 « THE GREEN HOWARD, » 6235 « CITY OF HEREFORD, » and 5552, along with a green locomotive named « Mirvale. » Several prints note their design by « Sir WILLIAM STANIER, F.R.S. » and specific build or conversion years such as 1946 and 1944. One older black and white photograph also bears a handwritten inscription that reads « A Queensland… Engine. » The items are protected within clear plastic sleeves.
