A topographical watercolour painting on paper with bodycolour highlights, depicting a historic English street scene. The composition features a prominent half-timbered Tudor-style building, possibly an inn, alongside a horse-drawn coach and figures in period attire. The work is executed in a representational style characteristic of the British topographical school from the late 19th or early 20th century. The painting is signed vertically in the lower right corner with the characters J. W. S. followed by a surname that is not clearly legible. The piece is housed in a wide, dark-stained oak frame with a gilded inner slip.
