Description
This collection consists of original paper ephemera and publications primarily relating to British motor clubs from the mid-1960s. The group includes several official publications from the Vintage Sports-Car Club (VSCC), including a List of Members and Their Cars booklet dated December 1, 1965, and The Bulletin of the Vintage Sports-Car Club, No. 86, Summer 1965. Also present is a single-sheet program for the VSCC Silverstone Meeting held on July 30, 1966, which contains supplementary regulations for various races including the Boulogne Trophy. The collection features a bulletin from the Rolls-Royce Section of the VSCC titled Early & Late, No. 18, dated December 1962. The Lagonda Club is represented by a typed Annual General Meeting notice for September 27, 1964, held at the Overstone Solarium, Northampton, accompanied by several sheets detailing the agenda and club rules. Miscellaneous items include one black and white semi-glossy photograph depicting an early 20th-century open-top tourer and a limousine, a color promotional flyer for man TS100 featuring a vintage red car, and a sheet of lined stationery from Toyota (GB) Ltd. based at The Quadrangle, Redhill, Surrey, bearing the triple-oval logo. The items are constructed of various paper stocks and light cardstock.
Sizes range approximately from 5.8 x 8.3 inches to 8.3 x 11.7 inches.
Condition report:
The collection is in good vintage condition with general age-related toning and yellowing to the paper, particularly at the edges. The Early & Late Rolls-Royce bulletin shows a noticeable tear and fraying along the top edge of the front cover. Minor creasing and corner wear are present across the loose-leaf documents and publications.
