Description
A collection of four pieces of carved wood and stone folk art, categorized as treen. The collection comprises three anthropomorphic busts and one zoomorphic figure. The style is consistent with African Folk Art carvings, often attributed to regions producing ebony or dark hardwood sculptures. The largest piece is a light-toned carved wood bust featuring smoothed, stylized facial features and pronounced contours. Flanking this are two smaller busts carved from dark-stained or naturally dark hardwood, characterized by rough, textured carving details, particularly for the hair and face.
