Description
This collector’s gift set features the Special Extended DVD Edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, produced by New Line Cinema and WingNut Films under the direction of Peter Jackson. This is a UK PAL region release intended for the United Kingdom and European markets. The set contains a five-disc DVD collection, comprising the four-disc Special Extended Edition of the film which includes 42 minutes of additional footage, and a fifth bonus DVD titled The Evolution of Gollum. Included within the set is an exclusive hand-painted polystone statue of Gollum as Smeagol, which was created specifically for this release. The statue features art direction by Peter Jackson and was sculpted by Weta Workshop, New Zealand. The set also includes a 44-page bonus Gollum companion book illustrating the evolution of the character. The reverse of the outer box features printed credits for Weta Workshop and Peter Jackson, along with the barcode 5017239191893. The front of the box displays an original UK 12 age rating sticker and a secondary sticker identifying the contents as a 5 disc set.
