Description
A vintage Fabulous Fred electronic tabletop multi-game console, manufactured by Mego Corp and released circa 1980. The device is housed in a molded cream-coloured plastic casing with a black control panel. The interface features a 3×3 grid of nine multi-coloured translucent square buttons in shades of orange, yellow, red, pink, green, blue, and purple. Controls to the right include three white circular buttons marked START-PITCH, SELECT, and HIT, alongside an OFF-ON slide switch. Above the main grid are three yellow buttons labelled REPEAT, REST, and EIGHTH NOTE. The console is programmed with ten activities including Electronic Organ, Music Machine, What’s That Song, The Memory Game, Mind-bender, Space Attack, Submarine Hunt, Catch the Comet, Baseball, and Roulette. The unit is marked with the Fabulous Fred title and the Mego Corp logo on the control panel. The lot is accompanied by the original colour-printed cardboard box and an internal polystyrene tray. Power is supplied by one 9-volt battery and two D-cell batteries.
