Description
This lot consists of two pieces of Art Deco style green pressed glass, dating from circa 1930s. The first is a square-section vessel featuring four bas-relief panels, each depicting a stylised female nude in an Art Deco pose. This design is attributed to the Nymph pattern produced by August Walther and Sohne of Germany. The vessel is constructed with a stepped base and rounded corners. The second item is a small bud vase with a fluted body featuring a pronounced spiral twist, set upon a circular, slightly domed base. Both items are crafted from vibrant, transparent green uranium glass, also known as Vaseline glass, which typically exhibits a strong green fluorescence under ultraviolet light. No maker’s marks, signatures, or factory stamps are visible on either piece.
