Description
A mid-20th century hand-blown art glass figurine, possibly depicting a stylized crane or marine bird. The figure is composed of a turquoise blue glass body containing an internal pattern of rows of vertical white dashes. It features an elongated, curving neck and a head with two clear glass crest-like elements. The body tapers to a pointed tail and is mounted on a clear glass pedestal base with a worked spiral, shell-like fluted texture. An irregular gold-toned foil label is attached to the turquoise glass, though it remains illegible due to wear. The style and technique are characteristic of Italian glass from the Murano region, particularly the work attributed to Archimede Seguso.
