Boxed Tri-ang Spot-On 218 Jaguar Mk. 10 with Luggage and Ephemera
Description
A vintage die-cast model car produced by Tri-ang as part of the Spot-On series, finished in green paintwork. The model is a 1:42 scale representation of a Jaguar Mark 10 (Mk. 10). It features a functional opening boot, steering front wheels operated via the steering wheel, and includes a driver figure. The model is accompanied by three separate cream plastic suitcases designed to fit inside the opening boot. The original illustrated cardboard box is present, along with a Spot-On Fleet-Owners Club paper leaflet and a colour collector card depicting the Jaguar Mk. X.
The base of the car is cast with the following text: JAGUAR MARK 10, MADE IN N. I., PAT’S. PEND., SPOT-ON, MODELS by Tri-ang, 1:42 SCALE, and MODEL No. 218. The front and rear registration plates are printed with the characters RBG 218. The box is printed with MODELS BY SPOT-ON SCALE MODEL, 218 JAGUAR MK. 10, MADE IN N. IRELAND, and Tri-ang. One end flap of the box bears a handwritten price in blue ink reading 8/11. The included paper ephemera details the Fleet-Owners Club based at Castlereagh Road, Belfast, N. Ireland.
