A Vintage Friction Drive Fire Engine No. 1001 and Original Box
Description
A vintage Hong Kong-made fire engine toy constructed from red moulded plastic with a grey plastic sliding ladder assembly. The vehicle features a friction-drive mechanism and a turntable-mounted ladder that extends. The front grille and bumper are finished with silver paint. The toy is accompanied by its original yellow and red illustrated cardboard box. The end flaps of the box are printed in black and red, reading FIRE ENGINE, NO. 1001, and MADE IN HONG KONG. One side panel of the box bears two handwritten prices in black ink, reading 1/8 and 6/11.
