Description

A collection comprising three silver-plated decorative spoons and three sterling silver letter openers, each housed in its original black presentation box. The decorative spoons are designed in a Victorian berry spoon style, featuring deep bowls embossed with high-relief fruit and foliage motifs and fiddle and shell pattern handles. The reverse of each handle is stamped with the characters E P N S. These spoons are accompanied by printed paper slips from English Silverware, Rochester, Kent, England, which provide care information for sterling silver and silver-plated products. The three tapered sterling silver letter openers are each fitted with a multi-coloured silk-style tassel in red, yellow, black, and white. One opener is engraved on the blade with the text The POSH Club and Special mark in celebration of the Year 2000. Each opener bears a full suite of British hallmarks, including the sponsor mark EH, the Lion Passant for sterling silver, the Leopard’s Head for the London Assay Office, the date letter a for the year 2000, and the stylized millennium commemorative mark. These are accompanied by information slips titled British Hallmarks explaining the significance of the marks.
