Description
The lot comprises a dark-stained wooden kneehole desk and a coordinating side chair. The desk features a central recessed section flanked by two pedestals, each containing two drawers, all fitted with brass-toned oval backplate and drop ring pull hardware. The accompanying chair, crafted from similar dark wood, has a distinctive pierced splat back incorporating Gothic Revival-style tracery and urn motifs, suggesting influence from Hepplewhite or Sheraton designs. It is fitted with a woven cane seat in a light beige tone and a simple rectangular wooden frame with straight legs.
