Description
A traditional double bed featuring a substantial carved wooden headboard in the Rococo Revival style. The headboard is crafted from rich, dark polished hardwood, likely mahogany or walnut, and features an intricately scrolled and carved crest rail adorned with symmetrical foliate motifs. It is accompanied by a coordinating fabric half-tester canopy, which is ceiling-mounted. The canopy’s exterior is covered in a chintz-style floral fabric depicting roses on a light ground, finished with a bobble fringe. The interior is lined with a plain, deep green heavy-weight fabric, possibly velvet. No visible text or manufacturer’s markings are apparent.
